Pretty much what the title says, you can still move around ingame using the keyboard while in the esc menu, mouse movements do not translate ingame, but the keyboard does. Hell, I've OD'd in the esc menu .

Agree. Also using the mouse wheel to scroll in the menu (like in the edit controls for example) switches the weapon I'm holding but doesn't scroll down/up the menu.
