Flickering/Facing bug
« on: 06.25.08 | 06:40 AM »
Well after a while of playing the screen starts to flicker and I found out that it aint just random flickering but it for some odd reason wants to face to a certain direction for a fraction of a second. Don't remember if it was north or whatever but anyways its the same direction every time.
I'll fraps it later to make it more clear what I mean.

I have the same Issue... the flicker occurs every 5-8 seconds and only seems to occur after played for period.

I've noticed this much more on the borders of the map than anywhere else, it was in previous builds as well, but not nearly as obvious as is currently the case.

I have also noticed this and, like Zhou, it seems to happen more frequently near the border of the map.

My video card is an ATI 2600XT using the latest Omega drivers.

Last night when it occurred I did some checking and yes it only seems to happen when approaching the map border.

For the record I'm using a 8800GT but by the looks of it GFX cards arent the issue

I was poking around both maps seems to me that anytime I'm near wall corners it might happen and at random in other places but much less frequent. maybe a default camera direction (look at point that hasn't been shut off).

We're working on figuring out what's causing this. If you have any insight please let us know.

Ive done some more testing and RockeyRex is right you actually face North for split second.

To test this simply face north yourself when experiencing it and you will see the flicker is hardly noticeable because the image isn't drastically changing.
