Issue with Grass Map
« on: 06.25.08 | 02:35 PM »
Hey, I can join Snow Map with no problems, but every time I join grass map, it loads and then puts me at a blank grey screen with an empty score board on it, and it just says 'next game' at the bottom right. I have tried numerous games and it hasnt worked. However, when I create a game on grass map it lets me join. Any ideas?

Cheers

This is a common bug that has been reported ever since dedicated servers came out.  Why it hasn't been hunted down and fixed yet is perplexing: having to refresh a browser twice (assuming there are no other connection/loading errors) just to play is not exactly conducive to getting players addicted to Legions.

Can some person responsible for designing this game answer this, please? It is a bit ridiculous.

Hrmmmz, not seen this before (on the forums at least).

Try what rampancy said and refreshing twice. Otherwise you might want to try deleting the IA and Legions folder to ensure grass hasn't somehow become corrupted.

To find and delete the IA folder do this:

1. Open the Start menu.
2. Choose "Run..."
3a. Windows XP: Enter "%appdata%\GarageGames"
3b. Windows Vista: Enter "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\GarageGames".
4. Delete the "IAPlayer" folder.
