Please check your driver version/try updating to the latest drivers for your graphics card.

Did that. I have the latest build my laptop manufacturer has for nvidia drivers. It's a Gateway FX Laptop..is there a driver version with known issues?

This is my exact problem, but has been doing it since the last 2 builds.

My specs are:
6800 gs
AMD64 3000+
Xp Home

Munge if you read this, would this come up in the error log you referred to me last time I had a similar problem? I can't check now, but will when I get home.

you can try this -

Quote from: BeeHay
you can try to manually override your max res and try it again -

if your screen is similar to mine and it can do 1680x1050, try changing this-

$Pref::Video::Mode = "1680 1050 true 32 1680 0";

if yours looks like this -

$Pref::Video::Mode = "980 551 false 32 980 0";

I'm pretty sure it is in pref.cs Smiley

Mine is already what it should be. Its just really weird because I have never had problems with this before. ALl of my drivers are updated and everything. Any other solutions?

So I updated my drivers again full screen works. Its weird because I had the newest drivers before, but I the latest time I cleared all my drivers and put the new ones in and it worked. So if you are having problems try resetting all of the drivers.

this happens to me as well, exept only before i change the settings twice.
i have it set to go full screen automatically, and after a few seconds my screen goes black and i return to the browser with a black screen in the window.
so i refresh the page, joiin again, but right away go to options and turn off full screen mode, then go back and turn it on. no more problems. i just need to do this every time i log on to IA. (exept when im playing marbleblast, there is no full screen for that dangit...
